The operation aims to strengthen the operational capacity of the National Centre Immediate Assistance to address crises caused by fires, floods, earthquakes and other phenomena caused by natural and man-made causes. In particular, the operation concerns the supply of portable chambers and accompanying equipment for the transport of patients with infectious and contagious diseases or patients who need continuous medical care and monitoring, such as those injured by natural disasters (especially in cases of earthquakes and fires) and/or technological accidents.

This equipment contributes to the strengthening of the health system and the rapid and effective response of civil protection within the framework of its responsibilities.
