Presentation of the Managing Authority

The Special Managing Authority for the Programmes “Environment and Climate Change” and “Civil Protection”, was established in October 2022 by decision of the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments and reports directly to the Special Secretariat for the Management of ERDF and CF Programmes (Government Gazette 5173/B/05.10.2022).

The Managing Authority aims to exercise the management responsibilities of the Programmes under its responsibility, within the framework of the Partnership Agreement for Regional Development (Partnership Agreement) 2021-2027, in accordance with articles 7 and 8 of Law 4914/2022 (Government Gazette A’ 61) and the Management and Control System.

The Structure of the Managing Authority as well as the responsibilities of the two Sub-Directorates – one responsible for the management of the “Environment and Climate Change” Programme 2021-2027 and one responsible for the management of the “Civil Protection” Programme 2021-2027 – as well as the responsibilities of each Unit, are described in Ministerial Decision No. 93478/2022, (Government Gazette 5173/Β/05.10.2022) on the basis of Law 4914/2022 “Management, control and implementation of development interventions for the 2021-2027 Programming Period” (Partnership Agreement Law 2021-2027, Government Gazette A’ 61).
